Her certificate of death on file at IRAD, Eastern Illinois University, states that her father was Paul Rush. Elizabeth married Thomas Eikleberry about 1853. In the 1860 census, they were living in Washington Township, Brown County, Indiana, near Paul and Dorcas Rush who had moved to Brown County in the mid-1850s. Several Eikleberry children were born there. By 1870 the Eikleberry family had settled in Wayne County, Illinois, where they raised a family of nine known children.
