James C. Rudy of Port Matilda, Centre County, died at his home Thursday, Oct. 4, 1951, at 8:30 p.m. Born Aug. 2, 1881 at McAlevy's Fort, he was the son of Samuel and Lucinda Grady Rudy. He was married to Grace Harpster who survives with the following children: Charles, James, and Gerald, all Of Port Matilda; Mrs. Dorothy Ross, State College; Mrs. Kathleen Leidy, and John, Pennsylvania Furnace; ;Harold, Boalsburg. Surviving brothers and sisters are George Rudy,
Pine Grove Mills; Mrs. Matilda Poust, Pennsylvania Furnace; Reuben Rudy, Tyrone; Mrs. Maria Orwan, Harrisburg; Mrs. Hester Myers, Newport RD. Eleven grandchildren also survive. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Tyrone, and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Funeral services will be held from the Port Matilda Methodist Church, Sunday at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Roy W. Bower officiating. Interment will be made at Graysville cemetery. Friends will be received at the Koch Funeral Home in State College on Saturday from 7 to 9 pm.
