Daniel Thomas Phillips, 72, died at his home in this city yesterday morning at. 8 o'clock. Paralysis of one side had made him a semi-invalid for several years, though he had never been bedfast. As his wife assisted him across the floor he slumped down and was gone.
Funeral services are planned for Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Evangelical church.
Daniel Thomas H Phillips was born Sept. 26, 1871, in Lawrence county, Missouri. He married Nealie Meddaw at Walnut Grove MO., Nov. 10, 1890. They moved from Missouri to Oregon in 1898, remaining there until 1909 when they came to this section, making their home on Susie creek above McLeod. When his health failed they were forced to retire from the ranch, moving into Big Timber in October 1940. Their golden wedding anniversary was made the occasion for a reunion of their children and a neighborhood party at McLeod which is outstanding in the events of that community.

D.: Rex Phillips, Pasco Wash; Ruby Parks, Seattle, Wash.,; Ova Lamach, Big Timber; Inez Haines, Great Falls, Mont.; Stanley Phillips, Big Timber, Mescal Phillips, Pasco, Wash.
