Handwritten on clipping: "My dearest sister." The clipping reads: "The funeral services of Miss Sallie Y. Jenners, who died in Mobile, Ala., on the 26th inst., was held yesterday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. Wm. Jenners, on Sixth street. Rev. Mr. Blackburn officiating. Pall bearers: Captain Bryan, Mr. James M. Reynolds, Mr. L. Caldwell, and Mr. Fotterall."

Another obituary reads: "The remains of Miss Sarah Jenners arrived in this city Friday from Mobile, Ala., where she died last Wednesday. The funeral was numerously attended by old friends in this city. The remains were unaccompanied by friends from Mobile, owing to the illness of her mother and sister, Miss Lavinia." handwritten on clipping: "Dec. 26, 1883. Sallie died Dec. 26, 1883"
