Information was received here this afternoon of the death in St. Louis of Charles Oswald, a former resident of this community. the message died not state when he died, but stated that the body probably would be sent here for burial. Residents of the city today recalled that Oswald lived here 30 years ago, residing with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Oswald on a farm on the Gordonville road, 2 1/2 miles west of Cape Girardeau.
A sister, Mrs. Mary Kroger, and a brother, John Oswald, are reported to be living in St. Louis. Funeral services probably will be at St. Mary's Catholic church, and interment in the Old Lorimier cemetery.
