Funeral service for Vina Evelyn Blankenship was March 5, 2011 at James & Gahr Mortuary, Salem, with Ken Fiebelman officiating.

Music was provided by recorded selections.

Interment was in the North Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wayne Blankenship, Jason Blankenship, Wyatt Blankenship, Chris Wakefield, Jayce Summers and Angel Garcia.

Mrs. Blankenship was born February 17, 1931 in Licking to Frank and Bessie (Brackett) Holden. She married Bill James Blankenship in 1947. They were the parents of four children. Mrs. Blankenship died February 26, 2011 at the age of 80 years and nine days.

Survivors include her children, Jo Ann Pyatt and husband, Tom, Salem; Kay Michel and husband, Jim, Stratford, Conn.; Karl Blankenship and wife, Laura, Murphysboro, Ill.; and Wayne Blankenship and wife, Mary, Salem; sisters, Mattie Campbell, Bucyrus; and Betty Young, Success; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; brothers, Lawrence and Billy Holden; sisters, Pauline Reed and Ivy Turner; grandchildren, Lori Blankenship-Warden and Andrew Michel.
