According to her son's writings, Rebecca was alive as of 1898, a widow. Her last census appearance is in 1910, recorded at Selinsgrove, living with two of her daughters, age 69. There she reports having had 10 children of whom five are alive.

On her 71st birthday, November 20, 1911 her children requested a "card shower" asking friends to send her many good wishes.

Rebecca is buried with her husband at Wagensellers Union Cemetery in Selinsgrove.

Mrs. Wagenseller's maiden surname is sometimes shown as Forrey, Forry or Furry. Her son George, the family historian, uses Forrer, which is the way it was spelled in an 1833 family Bible. As you can see in the accompanying photograph, that is how her children spelled it as well.
