Mrs. Patrick Wolfe, 76 years old, died at 9:15 o'clock on Tuesday evening, June 20, 1916, at her home, 1825 North LaSalle street, Ottawa. She was confined to her bed for about one week and her death is attributed to the infirmities of old age. Mrs. Wolfe, whole maiden name was Margaret Hickey, was born in County Kerry, Ireland. In 1854 she came to America and ever since had lived in Ottawa and vicinity. For a number of years she resided on a farm in Farm Ridge township. In 1859 she was united in marriage with Mr. Wolfe, and nine children were born to the couple, three of whom are dead. Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe were present at the Lincoln-Douglas debate held in Ottawa in 1858 and often referred to the event as one of the happiest of their lives. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Miss Mary Wolfe, Miss Margaret Wolfe, Edward, James and Walter, all of Ottawa, and David Wolfe of Serena township. The funeral service was held at 9 o'clock Thursday morning at St. Columba church. Interment was in St. Columba cemetery.
