MOUNTAIN HOME—Eugene (Gene) Forbes, 55, died at his home in Mountain Home Tuesday after a long illness.
Mr. Forbes was born July 21, 1905 at Fourman, Ark., and married Lena A. Branson, June 1, 1929 at Mountain Home. Mr. Forbes worked as a mechanic in Mountain Home a number of years and traveled for the Forney Welding company.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Albert of San Jose, Calif.; and Edwin of Portland, Ore.; one daughter Mrs. Alice Cofer of the Clinton-Sherman Air Force base in Oklahoma; his mother Mrs. Katherine Finch of Portland, Ore.; one brother, William Freeny of Grenada Hills, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Winona Lentz of Portland; and Mrs. Katheleen Thompson of Salem, Ore.; and six grandchildren.
Services are pending at the Bey chapel in Mountain Home.
