Rhea Jean Brown Duckworth passed away peacefully after a long and happy life on April 2, 2011 in the home of her daughter.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith and a love for her family of four children, Anne Walters (Frank), Susan Ence (Russell), James Stephen Duckworth (Pat), and Jane Jensen (Gary), as well as 23 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.

Rhea was born on December 8, 1918 in Pocatello, ID, to Claude W. and Lena Jones Brown. She had four siblings: Virgil Dean Brown (deceased) and Marjorie Steed who passed away on 31 March 2011, Barbara Van Orden and Claude Brown Jr.

Rhea grew up in Blackfoot, ID and married her husband of 71 years, James Hanson Duckworth, on June 30, 1939 and later sealed for eternity in the Logan Temple on March 26, 1940. James preceded Rhea in death on March 2, 2011.

Rhea served in the civil service for many years as a secretary at Tachikawa AB, Japan and Hill AFB, UT. She later graduated from the Weber College of Nursing at the top of her class and worked as a registered nurse for 13 years in Labor and Delivery.

Rhea lived a life of service to God, serving in many different LDS church callings. She enjoyed teaching Primary-age boys the most. Later in life she served a full-time mission with her husband in the Arizona Tempe mission on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation.

We know it is only a temporary separation, but we, her family and friends, love her dearly and will miss her.

A viewing will be held in her honor on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main, Farmington, UT, and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the LDS Chapel, 901 South Mountain Road, Fruit Heights UT. Interment- Kaysville City Cemetery.
