Mrs. Alice Smith died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Radford, in the vicinity of Pleasant Hill church, after a long and painful illness during which she was given every care and attention by loving, patient children and good, kind neighbors. Mrs. Smith was the widow of the late Tom Smith and surviving her are a number of children. Funeral services were held Tuesday by Rev. H. E. Jenkins, her pastor. Mrs. Smith was a good kind woman, a devout christian and was loved by all who knew her. She was the mother of Ulis Smith of Dresden.
