Survived by his wife of 55 years, Lilly. He was the sixth of seven children born to his parents. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1947, and served in Korea, and was awarded the Purple Heart and other citations for valor. He married Lillian Marie Fajardo in 1956 and moved to Sacramento in 1958 where he worked for the U.S. Govt. for 30 years.
Abel leaves his 5 children: Maria, Daniel (Leticia), Karen Peterson (Mark), Kathryn Cisneros (Thomas), and Mark; also his 5 grandchildren and numerous gr-grandchildren.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sacramento, April 4, 10:00 a.m. Private interment, Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA.
