She was born June 11, 1914, in Akron. Mrs. Abbott Bowman taught at York Elementary School and both Medina and Brunswick junior high schools. She was a 4-H adviser. She and her first husband, Lawrence, owned and operated Abbotts Tool Rental. Mrs. Abbott Bowman was a longtime member of United Church of Christ Congregational on the square. She was a home-visiting agent for the Medina County Farm Bureau Extension Office. She was a 1932 graduate of Granger High School and a 1936 graduate of Case Western Reserve Flora Stone Mather School.
Mrs. Abbott Bowman is survived by her daughter, Lauren (aka Lorene) Lacey of St. Charles, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Abbott of Tolland, Conn.; and grandsons, Ryan Lacey, Michael, David (Katrina), Steven and Mark Abbott.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence Abbott and Dale Bowman, and son, Larry Abbott.
