Dorothy G. McElhaney, 90, Kansas, died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2004 at Valley View Care Center, Fremont.

She was born March 20, 1914 in Springfield to James and Amanda (Knotts) Mock. She married Loren A. McElhaney on Sept. 9, 1939 in Napoleon and he died Jan. 8, 1997.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Roland (Barbara) Hutchins of Fostoria; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Mrs. Martin (Shirley) Flagg; grandson, Mark Flagg; and great-granddaughter, Angel Marie Hutchins.

Mrs. McElhaney was a homemaker. She attended Kansas United Methodist Church. She graduated from Shilo High School. She was a member of Kansas Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Kansas Knights of Pythians, Seneca County Board of Election of Kansas, and the Rail Road Historical Society.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home with the Rev. Ivan Schwenn officiating. Burial will be in Scott Trinity Cemetery, near Risingsun.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Kansas United Methodist Church.
