They raised Lois Elizabeth Bohn as their daughter after Herman remarried in 1930 to Clara Elizabeth Pueggel. Lois's mother, Caroline Elizabeth Wrede, Hermans first wife, died 11 days after giving birth to Lois. Lois was born on Ausgust 21 1928 and Caroline died on September 1st 1928.
