Native of Willshire dies at 79
Clyde W. Byer, 79, a native of Willshire, O., and brother of Otis Byer and Mrs. Goldie Parker of that city, died at Marion General Hospital, Marion, where he had been a patient three days.
A retired employee of Bell Fibre Co., and World War I veteran, he had resided in Marion for 50 years.
Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Thelma Shaneyfelt, Hartford City, Mrs. Huldah Stevens, Jonesboro; and Mrs. Ruby Sloderbeck, Marion; a son, Max Byer, Marion; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at the Devine Colonial Mortuary, Marion, the Rev. Arthur Jennings officiating. Burial was in the IOOF cemetery.
