Verla M. (Hopman) Crabtree, 83, of Rossville, passed away at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at her home.
She was born Dec. 31, 1927 in Ash Grove Township to Herman "Hops" and Pearline Rapp Hopman. She married William L. Crabtree on Jan. 22, 1955 in Ash Grove Township. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Jackson of Cotopaxi, Colorado, Joyce (Mike) Maloy of Martinsville, Indiana and Marilyn (Wayne) Williams of Rossville; a sister, Melva (Byron) Langdell of Prescott, Arizona; a brother, Weldon (Marie) Hopman of Prescott, Arizona; three grandchildren, Dino Rudin of Glendale, Arizona, Jake Maloy of Indianapolis and Morgan Williams of Rossville; a step-grandchild, Josh Maloy of Dayton, Ohio; a great-grandchild, Andreana Rudin of Glendale, Arizona; a step-grandchild, Brianna Maloy of Dayton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and a special aunt, Irene Schutte of Crescent City.
