Mrs. R.L. (Grandma) Spurrier, 86 years old, 910 South Topeka avenue, whose hip and shoulder were broken Wednesday morning when she stumbled and fell on the curbing in front of the Boston Store, died at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at St. Francis hospital from the effects of the injuries. Her death was not unexpected.

Mrs. Spurrier, who had lived in Wichita since 1887, was the widow of T. B. Spurrier, whom she married in 1854, and the mother of Charles Spurrier, contractor, 606 North Waco avenue.

Since she became a member of the Methodist church in Ohio when she was 10 years old, Mrs. Spurrier had always been interested in the affairs of that denomination. She was a charter member of the old Emporia Avenue church, Emporia avenue and Dewey street, now Grace church, Topeka avenue and Gilbert street.

She was born at Cuba, Clinton county, Ohio, in 1834.

Besides her son, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Minnie Millison, Rutherford, N.J.

Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Flanagan and Bowman Undertaking Company."
