Henry and Caroline Boeke were both born in Prussia, became part of Germany in 1918. The couple came to America in 1847 with their son, Henry Boeke, born March 21, 1845. They located in Evansville, Indiana. Six more children were born: Charles Boeke, William Boeke, Herman Boeke, Louisa (Boeke) Schmitz, Lizzie (Boeke) Smith and Emma (Boeke) Smith.
