Services for Minnie Tennesse Collier Johnson, 79, of Eden, Texas will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Day-Loveless Chapel in Eden, Texas. Graveside srvices and burial will follow at 4 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Gardens in Carlsbad. The Texas minister will be Bill Moffitt of the Fort Worth Baptist Church. The local minister will be the Rev. John Ward of the Bethel Baptist Church. She died on Thursday at the Concho Nursing Center in Eden, Texas.

Her grandsons will be pallbearers.

Born and raised in Kimble, Texas, she married the late Harold H. Johnson on May 31, 1935, in Kimble County, Texas. They later moved to Carlsbad. She had lived here 32 years before moving to Eden 15 months ago. She was employed at Lakeview Christian Home.

She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, James H. Evans; three sisters, Elva Erskin, Helen Bates and Leona Eckert, all of Junction, Texas; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
