Two death records record his middle name differently. Therefore, one is incorporated as a middle name and another in the form of a nickname or aka. No census record confirms middle name as each time it is listed with just the middle initial.

Thomas was married twice. His first wife is Bettie Ann Cordell and the second wife was Anna B., Anna Isabelle or Annabelle Long.

The second wife's name is on Thomas' death certificate as a spouse as Anna Long. The death certificate for Anna indicates her father's surname was Wasson. She died at the Eastern State Hospital in Knoxville which was an insane asylum. The death certificate for Anna says her remains were removed, but yet it states burial was to be in Spring City Cemetery. There is a family of Wasson buried in that cemetery so perhaps she is buried there but her grave has not been photographed and documented. An attempt has been made to locate a marriage record for possibly Anna's first marriage but so far nothing has been found.
