Funeral services for Otis "Chihuahua" Raymond Andrews, 73, 1029 N. Thomas St., are pending at West Funeral Home. He died at the local hospital Tuesday.
Born in Ft. Townsend, Okla., he came to New Mexico in 1929 and moved to Carlsbad in 1930. He worked for Potash Company of America and International Minerals and Chemicals as a miner for over 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the American Legion, and was a former member of the V.F.W. He served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche Andrews, Carlsbad; one son, Ronnie Andrews, San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Connie Mathel, Lakewood; five brothers, William "Bill" Andrews, Carlsbad, Earnest Andrews, Jack Andrews, Earl Andrews, and Marcus Andrews, all of California; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services for Otis Raymond Andrews, 73, 1029 N. Thomas St., will be held Friday at West Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jim Prock, First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.
He died at the local hospital Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Jack Kartchner, John Johnson, Jack Pope, Virgil Manthel, Butch Andrews and Tommy Garner.
He is survived by one son, Ken Andrews, Quincy, Calif.; and one daughter, Jo Ann Andrews, Salinas, Calif.
