From History of Maries Co, MO by Everett Marshall King, page 679: William R. Bell was the father of two children by his first marriage, both of whom, with their parents, are now dead. The son, William, was killed in an accident in a rail road machine shop in Canada, leaving two daughters, Mrs. Irma Erskine and Isabelle Bell, both of Portland, Oregon. The daughter, Rachel, married a Irick (ie James A. Irick) and died in St. Louis a number of years ago, leaving a family there. Note: death certificate for Rachel, born 1884 shows her parents as Wm. R. Riley and Rachel Davis. A conflict of data with King's History)
