He was born Jan. 18, 1935, in Henderson, Tenn., to Dossie B. and Minnie M. (Naylor) Plunk. He married Veanes M. Cupples in Corinth, Miss., on Sept. 17, 1955. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Henderson, Tenn.; two daughters, Vicki (Rocky) Holcomb of Morton and Kim (Ron) Watters of Creve Coeur; five grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Dustin, Denver and Kara; two step grandchildren, Shane and Candice; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Emma Jean Blankenship.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, JE Blankenship.
JB worked at Caterpillar Inc. as a welder for 41 years before retiring.
He loved the Lord, his family and fishing and will be dearly missed.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
