Earnest E. Hayley had lived in Seymour since 1959. He was owner of IPTA Printing. He had owned the Saint Jo Tribune and had been former owner of the Spur Times, the Hereford Brand, and Whitesboro News-Record. He was listed in the Who's Who in the Southwest. He had been worshipful Master of the Saint Jo Masonic Lodge. He was district deputy grandmaster of the 86th Masonic District in 1951 to 1952. He was a member of the Maskat Shrine Temple, Royal Order of Jesters, and the Downtown Optimist club. Survived by his wife; one daughter - Cherrilyn Johnston, one brother - W.B. Hayley.
