Anna Malissie Baker was born May 16, 1920 in Stillwell, OK to Marion and Mary Ann (Foley) Chance. She attended school in the Coweta, OK area. On March 19, 1938 she married Coy Clyde Baker, and they began a long and happy life together that lasted for nearly 73 years. She and Coy farmed and ranched most of their lives, and Anna worked in the Farmers Union Insurance office with Coy. She worked as a cook for the Wagoner Public School system at Central and Ellington Schools. One of her favorite hobbies was bowling. She was a devoted wife and mother. Anna departed this life on Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Wagoner Care Center. Her husband, Coy Baker, preceded her in death on March 16, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings, seven brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her four children and their spouses, Charles and Bonnie Baker, Linda and Rayburn Collins, Alvin and Linda Baker, all of Wagoner, and Kathy Baker and husband, Tommy Rose, of Van Buren, AR; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Friday at Mallett Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at ten o'clock Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. The Reverend Carl Murphy will officiate. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers will be David Baker, Doug Baker, Mel Baker, Mike Collins, Aaron Farley and James Henson.
