Death at 12:15 this afternoon claimed Mrs. Lucetia M. Marks, widow of John Marks of Huntington, the final summons coming at the home of her son-in-law and daugher, Mr. and Mrs. John Kilcoyne of Scioto Trail. Mrs. Marks had been ill three weeks with kidney trouble. Two weeks ago, she was removed from the home of her sister in Huntington to the home of her daughter on Scioto Trail. Her condition had been grievious for a week and during this last week she had been bedfast. Mrs. Marks was 72 years of age, September 30 last. She was a native of Lawrence County but when a young girl, her parents moved to Huntington and most of her life was spent in that city. Her husband passed away thirty years ago. A daughter, Mrs. Vesta Thomas died just two months ago at her home in Gassaway, West Virginia. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Kilcoyne and a sister, Mrs. Fannie Sayre of Huntington, West Virginia. Mrs. Marks was a member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church of Huntington. Mrs. Marks was well known in Huntington where she spent many years of her life. The remains will be taken to Huntington Sunday and funeral services will be held from the home of her sister there Monday afternoon with Rev. R. F. Caudill in charge of the last rites. Burial in Huntington. (Mrs. Fannie Sayre is her sister-in-law, John Marks' sister)
