SHAWNEE, Okla. — Charles Alfred Crane, 80, of Tecumseh, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011, in Oklahoma City.

He was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Tecumseh to Coleman Ray Crane and Anna Lea (Dixon) Crane. Charles was born and raised in Tecumseh and was a lifelong resident.

He graduated from Tecumseh High School. He married Ilene Roper July 4, 1953 in Tecumseh.
Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army's 45th Infantry Division during the Korean War.

He was a commercial printer and a retired teacher from Okmulgee Tech. He was a member of Living Love Christian Center Church in Shawnee.

Charles was a jack of all trades and there was nothing he could not accomplish. He took care of his great grandchildren and they were the focal point of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Loraine Hoffman, Elizabeth Gamble, Virginia McDaniel and Francene Taylor.

Those left to lovingly cherish his memory are his wife, Ilene; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Marilyn Crane, of Shawnee, David and Debbie Crane, of Mustang, Charles and Teresa Crane, of Tecumseh, Tim and Barbara Crane, of Longview, Texas, Scott and Devevoshia Crane, of Seminole, and Mike and Michelle Crane, of Shawnee; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous other friends and family; and the family dog, Cookie.

Service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Living Love Christian Church, Shawnee, with Pastor Mark Guin and Brother Chad Brodrick officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, of Tecumseh.
