OAKTON, Va. -- Mrs. Gertrude Prather Grubbs, 92, of Oakton died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003 at Loudoun County Hospital in Leesburg, Va.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 8 at noon at Five Points Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Karcher officiating. Burial followed in Five Points Cemetery.
Mrs. Grubbs is survived by her daughter, Glenda (John) Shuford of Oakton, Va.; her sister, Mae Prather of LaFayette; and two granddaughters, Rebecca Jane (Clark) Simpson of Newport News, Va., and Kimberly Danielle (Ryan) Frost of Haymarket, Va.
Born Oct. 13, 1910 in Chambers County, Mrs. Grubbs was a retired school teacher, having taught in Chambers County and in Maryland. She was a member of Havre de Grace United Methodist Church in Havre de Grace, Md.
