Benjamin Harrison Snuffer, 61, well known farmer of Lothair, died at Kalispell Jan. 21. He had been in poor health for a number of years.

Mr. Snuffer was born June 12, 1888 at Maysville, Missouri. He came to Chester in 1906 and homesteaded in this area. He was married December 25, 1915 to Alida Emilie Arick.

Besides his widow, Mr. Snuffer is survived by a son, Darwin, of Galata; two daughters, Mrs. J.H. Bridgett of Chehalis, Wash., and Mrs. Frank Schwan of Lothair. A son, Roy, preceeded Mr. Snuffer in death in 1946.

Mr. Snuffer is also survived by two brothers, John Snuffer of Roundup, and W.M. Snuffer of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Ball of Eureka, Kansas, and Mrs. May Earnest of Girary, Kansas; four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Shelby Methodist Church. Pallbearers were E.M. Robison of Lothair, Bob Turner, Shelby, Ray Lallum, Galata, Eddie Kulpas, Lothair, Riley and Elmer Childers of Galata. Interment in Shelby cemetery.
