Mae Maxine Frazier, 75 of Garvin, passed away, Thursday, February 3, 2011 in Houston, TX.
The daughter of Ernest and Ethel (Williams) Gorham, she was born November 18, 1935 in McCurtain County. Maxine Gorham and Gene Frazier were united in marriage, October 4, 1953.
Proverbs 31: 10-31 describes Maxine Frazier. Strength, Honor and Kindness were her virtues. She worked hard growing a big garden and providing big meals for her family and friends. She sewed beautifully, making clothing and items for her home. She was very active in her church, and worked as the Church Clerk and a Sunday School teacher for several years. She loved painting and arts and crafts. She was the strength of her family, the one on whom we all leaned. She cared for her neighbors and friends like family. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her and we all know without a doubt, she is now with her heavenly family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Gorham; mother, Ethel Gorham; brother, Norman Gorham; and infant brother, Garfield Gorham.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband of fifty-seven years, Aubrey Gene Frazier of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Roy Shrouder of Garvin, OK; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Keith and Shelly Frazier of Texarkana, TX, Mike and Tammy Frazier of Garvin, OK, Wayne Frazier of Foreman, AR; grandchildren, John and Samantha Frazier, Brandon and Ashley Frazier, Ryan Shrouder; Jessica Cox, Chad Frazier, Sara Means, Brawna Frazier, Meghan Frazier, Tyler Shrouder, Cade Mayes, Elizabeth Dorsett; six great-grandchildren, Derek Hopper, Tristen Frazier, Katrina Frazier, Erin Frazier, Jonathan Frazier, Analise Cox, and JaChrista Hopper; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Ann Gorham, of Orange Park, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Jerry McMennamy of Pollard, OK; sister, Nita Gorham of Muskogee, OK; three sisters-in-law, Trilla Frazier of Idabel, OK, Rosie Gorham of Theadore, Al, and Charlotte Frazier of Chetopa, KS; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; special caregivers, Rebecca Sands, and Meghan Black.
