Vilate Wilson Purdy, 86, 518 32nd, died Sunday at the hospital of a stroke.
She was born Feb. 3, 1876, in Wilson, a daughter of James and Ellen Douglas Wilson. She was married to Henry Arthur Purdy in 1900 in Brigham City. He died Jan. 28, 1931.
She had spent all her life in Ogden and Weber County. She was a member of teh Twenty-seventh Ward.
She is survived by a daughter: Mrs. Leonard (Blanche) Malan, Ogden, and one grandson: Henry Malan of Roy.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons colonial Chapel with Bishop Burt J. Tensmeyer officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services. Burial in the Ogden City Cemetery.
