His wife, Mrs. Alma Williams told police she found Williams on a bedroom floor, a 38-caliber revolver nearby. She said he had been despondent because of illness. Mr. Williams was born in Humphreys County, Tennessee. He was a retired painter.
Surviving besides his wife are a brother, Lee D. Williams of 4136 Jackson avenue, North; a niece, Mrs. Norton Pate of Kansas City, Kansas; and two nephews, John B. Williams of Kansas City, Kansas, and Leroy Williams of 1417 Benton boulevard." The Kansas City Times, February 19, 1953
