Mr. Nathaniel Morris Jenkins Jr., age 56, entered into rest Friday, October 14, 2005 at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. The Bulloch County native resided in Jersey City, N.J., prior to moving to Statesboro in 1988. He was a member of the Elm Street Church of God.

He leaves memories to be cherished by his wife, Betty Jenkins, Statesboro; children, Carolyn Wilson, Atlanta, David Jenkins and Kelly Jenkins, both of Statesboro, and Tanzania Ware, Durham, N.C.; a stepson, Marlon Hendrix, Statesboro; two sisters, Diane Jenkins-Lee, Statesboro, and Lillie Wigfall, Centreville, Va.; a brother, Ronald Covington, Passaic, N.J.; and a host of grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Jenkins will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Elm Street Church of God with the Rev. Alexander Smith Jr., pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. in the chapel of Hill's Mortuary.
