Arthur Albers, age 92, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at the Keystone Care Center where he had been a resident the past four years.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, October 9, 2006 at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone with Rev. Dr. James Eggert officiating. Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery. Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Keystone from 2 to 5 P.M., on Sunday. A Memorial Fund has been established.
Arthur was born September 5, 1914 at Keystone to Hartwig A. and Anna (Witt) Albers. He married Kathryn Carter on February 24, 1940 at Keystone. Kathryn preceded Arthur in death on June 6, 2006.
Arthur farmed in the Keystone area until his retirement. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone. He also served on the Benton Mutual Insurance Board, the Benton County Rural Electric Board and as a Homer Township Clerk.
Arthur is survived by his brother, Don Albers of Keystone; seven nephews; and four nieces.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin Albers.
