PUXICO - Lavada Faries, 82, died April 8, 2006, at her home.
Born Nov. 22, 1923, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of the late Thomas Albert "Abner" and Florence Belle Coleman Crunk, she lived all her life in the Puxico area and was a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Wappapello.

On Dec. 18, 1940, in Poplar Bluff, she married Alvin Faries who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bill Faries and Ron and Vonnie Faries, all of Puxico; one daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Eddie Dunivan of Puxico; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Lingafelter of Salem, Ill.; and nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents: one son, Randy Faries; three brothers, her twin, Billy Crunk, Tom Crunk and Charles Crunk; five sisters, Jessie Warrington, Ethel Crunk, Pansy Crunk, Lois Crunk and Marie Crunk; and two daughter-in-
laws, Janice and Candy, also preceded her in death.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Danny Dunivan of Oakland City, Ind., will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Puxico Cemetery.
