Harley H. Alverson, 74 of Syracuse, passed away at home Wednesday. He was born September 10, 1930 to Harry H. and Bertha LaRock Alverson in Hounsfield, NY, and had been a resident of Syracuse for over 32 years. Harley was owner and operator of Alverson Realty for 30 years. Prior to his realty business he retired as a truck driver for Red Star Trucking and Stott & Davis Trucking. Mr. Alverson was a member of the Mad River Hunting Club and was an avid bowler. His sister, Fannie Reed died in 1989. Survivors: His wife of 31 years, Marie Daly Alverson; daughters, Lori Eselin and Susan (Ronald) Tarzia; sons, Lee and Jay Alverson all of Dexter, NY; brother, Jack (Loretta) Alverson of North Syracuse; granddaughter, Caitlin Eselin; grandsons, Lee Michael Alverson and Connor Tarzia; great- grandson, Peyton Alverson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services Saturday 10 a.m. at FARONE & SON. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5 to 7 p.m. Contributions: May be made to Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 1700 Butternut St., Syracuse, NY 13208.
