John was the son of Moses Hubbard Jr. and Louisa "Lovicy" Hubbard.

John married Caroline Stewart.

John married Louisa Davis, 1872 in Kentucky and they had 7 children that I know of.

According to the book, THOMAS HUBBARD OF VIRGINIA AND KENTUCKY, John's first wife was Caroline Stewart. There are no dates for this marriage provided in the book. On page 29, the marriage date of John and Louisa is shown as 1872.

The book mentions an affair between Louisa and an Indian named Byrley.

Apparently, Louisa's family lived on Otter Creek in Clay County which was close to a tribe of Indians. Byrley and Louisa are said to have had two children: Bill and Sarah.

The book also mentions that John Hubbard was a farmer, a Baptist preacher and a Deputy Sheriff.
