Funeral services for Annie R. Snodgrass, 75, of Two Fountain Apartments in Grandview, who passed away Saturday, December 18,1976 in her home, will be held Wednesday, December 22, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, with Rev. E. J. Chafin of the Grandview Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at the Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview. She was born in Oklahoma. She with her parents and family moved to Idaho where she spent her early years and received her education. She, Miss Annie Eaton and E.L. Benson were married at Arco, Idaho. Together they lived in Idaho before moving to Wapato, Washington and in 1937, they moved to Eureka, Montana where both she and her husband were rural mail carriers. She was also employed as a postal clerk from 1947 until 1951. Her husband, E.L. Benson died in 1949 and in 1951 she married Ward Snodgrass. Together they lived in Montana. Mr. Snodgrass died in 1966. She continued to make her home in Montana until moving to Grandview eight years ago. She is survived by two sons, Bernard Benson of Longview, Washington, William Benson of Erie, Colorado; two daughters, Mrs. Jesse (Doris) Smith of North Kingston, Rhode Island and Mrs. Clyde (Lois) Clary of Anchorage, Alaska; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ida Graham of New York and Mrs. Alice Torrey of Eureka, Montana. Also surviving are a large number of nieces and nephews.
