Oneita Corbett, 78, of Independence, MO., formerly of Centerville, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Monterey Park Nursing Center in Independence, Mo.

She was born Sept. 1, 1932 in Moravia, the daughter of W.O. and Wilma(Espy)Whicker.

She married Carl Corbett on Jan. 15, 1960 at the Gospel Church, Centerville. Oneita was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Max and Donald Whicker, and one grandson, Max Wulff.

Surivors include two dughters, Lisa Wulff and LaDonna Stephens; two granddaughters, Kristin Wulff and Jillian Stephens; a grandson Jonathan Stephens and one great-grandson Seth Wulff.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, March 26 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating.

Friends may call today from 1-8 pm at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with the family present from 6-8 pm. A memorial has been established.
