Gloria M. Espinoza, 64, of Portales, formerly of Maxwell, passed away Monday March 21, 2011, in Portales. She was born April 20, 1946, in Barney, to Enocenicio and Adellia Martinez-Sanchez.

She graduated from Clayton High School in May 1967. Gloria married Charles Espinoza on Sept. 2, 1972, in Maxwell and they enjoyed 39 years of marriage.

During her life, she was a homemaker, worked as the Director of Housing in Maxwell for many years, a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, a member of the Alter Society and a member of the Booster Club. She also baby sitted numerous children.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by two brothers, Eloy and Raymond, two sisters, Adelina Armijo and Stella Sanchez, father-in-law Floyd Espinoza, sister-in-law Lydia Patrica Lopez, brothers-in-law Manuel Martinez, Nestor Cordova and Arthur Armijo, and two nieces Beverly Monk and Hope Cordova.

Gloria is survived by her husband Charles of the home, children Charles Espinoza and wife Maggie of Raton, Marcia Trujillo and husband Chris of Portales, and Chris Espinoza and wife Jennifer of Raton, grandchildren Madison, Curt and Macey Espinoza, Moriah and Shaye Trujillo, and Cody Ray Espinoza. She is also survived by sisters Beatrice Martinez of Lamar, Colo., Lillian Cordova of Clayton, Teresina Montano and husband Joe of Clayton, Eloise Sisneros and husband George of Aztec, Carmel Sisneros and husband Johnny of Dalhart, Texas, brothers Benny Sanchez and Daniel Sanchez of Clayton, and Eloy Gonzales and wife Gloria of Littleton, Colo., mother-in-law Esther Espinoza of Maxwell, brother-in-law Dan Espinoza and wife Barbara of Grand Junction, Colo., brother-in-law Rick Lopez of Raton and numerus nieces, nephews and god children.

Visitation was March 24 at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Friday March 25, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Maxwell, recited by Deacon Thomas Alderette, Mass of the Resurection will follow at 10 a.m. with Father Daniel Balizan as the celebrant. Burial will follow at the Maxwell Cemetery.
