Jennie Antoinette Duplantis Bergeron, 87, a native of Sunrise Plantation, Bayou Dularge and a resident of Houma, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Annunziata Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Glen Paul Bergeron and wife, Linda, and Father Michael Anthony Bergeron, Pastor of Annunziata Catholic Church; two daughters, Janet Marie LaCoste, and Sheryl Ann Fuerst and husband, Joseph; one brother, Valmore Joseph Duplantis Jr.; six grandchildren, Keith James Pellegrin, Tommy James Mullins, Lisa Ann Wilson, Catherine Lynn Marciante, Patrick James Fuerst and Justin Paul Fuerst; 10 great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Aurelien Bergeron; her parents, Valmore Joseph Duplantis Sr. and Cora Josephine Babin Duplantis; three brothers, Ivy Joseph Duplantis, Joseph Abbie Duplantis and Sidney John Duplantis; four sisters, Agnes Josephine Hebert, Lou Antoinette Leonard, Doris Antoinette Colwart and Marie Louise Matherne; and one grandchild, Sandra Ann Mullins Guillot.
She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
