A. BRIDENSTINE HAS PASSED AWAY
BORN IN SEDGWICK COUNTY IN YEAR 1874.
He Was Well Known Among Musician -- Considered to Be One of the City's Best Baritone Players
Alson Bridenstine, who had resided in this city and its vicinity all his life, died yesterday in the St. Francis hospital. Death was caused by a lingering illness of several months.
Alson Bridenstine was born on a farm east of this city February 4, 1874. A few weeks after his birth his family moved to Wichita. The deceased had resided in this city since that time.
He was employed as foreman in the sash department of the United Sash and Door company at the time he became ill. He was well known in this city as a musician, having been connected with some of the best bands and orchestras of this city during the past eighteen years.
He was a member of the First Methodist Sunday school orchestra at the time his illness began. He was also a member of the musicians' union and of Queen City lodge No., 296, I. O. O. F.
A wife, three children, a father, mother and two brothers survive him.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in the First Methodist church, the Rev. Mr. Cudlip, pastor of that church officiating.
Friends of the deceased who are unable to attend the funeral services may view the body at the funeral parlors of Kirker and Marsh.
