Deaths. Agnes Storie. Agnes Groves Storie, 81, retired Lodi teacher and for many years receptionist in the office of the late Dr. Geo. H. Irwin, died Thursday afternoon, October 23, in her home here after a long illness.

Miss Storie retired from teaching in 1925 after teaching in Bloomington, Illinois College and serving as superintendent of schools at Jacksonville, Florida.

She was born on a farm near Lodi and attended Oshkosh State Teachers College and the University of Wisconsin, receiving her master's degree from the University of Chicago.
She is survived by a sister, Jeannette, at home.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from the Hamre Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert L. Everhard of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Music was by Iver Leatherberry, soloist, and Mrs. Iver Leatherberry, organist.

Pall bearers included Wm. F. Groves, Harold Groves, Howard Wilson, Robert Storie, Jr., Earl McFarlane and John McFarlane.

Burial took place at Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Lodi.
