Services for Harlan Hoytt Parker, 80, of Quitman were held July 21 at the Sweet Water Baptist Church with the Rev. Stuart Toms officiating. Burial followed at the Sweet Water Baptist Church Cemetery.
He died July 20 at his home.
Born July 26, 1920 in Ansley, he was a retired welder from Continental Can. He also served in the Army.
He is survived by his wife Eulene Parker of Quitman; five daughters, Gayle Silman and husband Mike of Ruston, Kaye Lowe and husband Johnny of Quitman, Sue Heflin and husband Roger of Quitman, Sandy Taylor of Atlanta and Harlene Brown and husband Gary of Quitman; four sisters, Elizabeth Knotts of Renton, Bennie Lou Roden of Jonesboro, Jo Shenk of Arcadia and Dale Watts of Lake Charles; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were J.W. Duck, Jerry Hanes, Ken Jeane, Roy Earl Koonce, Dallas McFearin, Jr., Curtis Otwell and Otis Walsworth, Jr.
