Services Held Saturday For Lester M. Lowe
Funeral services were held Saturday for Lester C. Martin Lowe, 31, of Overland Park, Kansas. He was found dead at his home by a fellow worker and police.
Services were conducted in the Sweetwater Baptist Church at Quitman with the Revs. Wayne Toms and Jimmy Pyles officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Police in Overland Park said they went to Lowe's residence after a fellow worker was sent to check on him when he failed to report for work.
It was reported that Lowe died of a bullet wound in the head and police are investigating the incident as a murder. The weapons and motive for the killings were unknown last Thursday.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lowe of West Monroe; two sons, Christopher Martin and Tyler Martin, both of Grandview, Mo.;
Two brothers, Gene Lowe of Belle Chasse and Lessie Lowe of West Monroe; three sisters, Mr. Dinah Gerdom of LaRose, Mrs. Peggy Gilbert of Belle Chasse, and Miss Kelley Lowe of West Monroe.
