Elma was born in Effingham County, her mother was Minnie Joyner Abbott ( daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Wyles Joyner and William Alfred Joyner)...Her father was Paul J Abbott Sr. Born in Effingham County, son of Walter O Abbott and Mary Elizabeth Lee. Elma's father , Paul Abbott died ( drowned) when she was 9 mths old. Minnie married Robert P. Seckinger and he raised Elma. She graduated from Effingham Academy, and married George A Ulmer Sr. she divorced him abt 1939 and married Lee Dasher in 1951. She is buried next to her second husband Lee Dasher.
