Nancy O. Bodley was born Nov. 20th, 1822, and died April 19, 1901, aged 78 years and 5 months.

She was united in marriage with John Conklin Bodley, at Plymouth, Ohio, in 1844, and soon after moved to Salem township in this county and settled on a farm. Here they lived for many years and then removed to Angola where they remained until the husband's death.

Some time after this she removed to Toledo, Ohio, making her home with her only daughter, Mrs. Sarah Lang. Mrs. Bodley was the mother of seven children. Five of these had preceded her to the grave. Two only remain-Greenwood N. Bodley, of Angola, and Mrs. Sarah Lang, of Toledo.

She was a life-long member of the church and trusted in Christ for salvation. Her last sickness was severe and lasted for many months.

Funeral services were held at the Block church near Salem on Tuesday morning, conducted by Rev. A. G. Neal, and surrounded by neighbors and friends of other years. Her body was laid to rest in the sacred ground where husband and children sleep.
