Mr. Emmett D. Boswell, age 87, of Hiram, Georgia was pronounced dead on arrival at Douglas General Hospital on Monday, March 23, 1992.
He was born on June 15, 1904 in Paulding County, Georgia where he was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Mr. Augusta Clayton Boswell and the late Mrs. Lucinda Streetman Boswell.
Mr. Boswell was of Methodist Faith and was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator with Paulding County Road Maintenance Department. He was first married to the late Mrs. Sarah Floy Driskell Boswell for approximately 45 years. She passed away in 1973. Later he married Miss Nellie Hunter, to whom he had been married approximately 17 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nellie Hunter Boswell; his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edward (Wynell) Morris of Hiram; his son-in-law, Mr. Ernest A "Al" Ralston of Powder Springs; his granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs. David (Dawn) Castleberry of Mableton; his grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Derek (Tina) Morris of Dallas; great-granddaughter, Little Miss Megan Morris of Dallas and several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death bu his daughter, Mrs. Bette B. Ralston, who passed away June 21, 1985.
Funeral Services were conducted on Wednesday, March 25, 1992 at 3:00 p.m. in Bethel Untied Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Davidson and Dr. Gil Watson officiating. Music was rendered by Mrs. Marian Bennett accompanied by Mr. Scott Morris.
Interment was in the Church Cemetery with Larry Hunter, Todd Hunter, Howell Driskell, Allen Driskell, David Joe Williams, David Williams, Jerry Womack and James Driskell serving as Pallbearers.
Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
