Deceased was born in Steuben county and was the son of the late George W. Balding, one of the pioneers. He was a good citizen and very highly respected, and until his recent resignation was trustee of Scott township.
He leaves a wife and two children, a boy and a girl to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father.
Funeral services were held Jul 29, conducted by Rev. H. O. Spellman and were largely attended.
